EU terminated its anti-subsidy investigation into China Graphite Electrode System

According to the China Trade Remedy Information Network, on July 20, 2022, the European Commission issued a notice that the EU decided to terminated its anti-subsidy investigation into China Graphite Electrode System in response to the application submitted by the applicant on May 9, 2022, to withdraw the investigation. The measures will take effect the day after the announcement.
The products involved are graphite electrodes for electric furnace with apparent specific gravity greater than or equal to 1.5g/cm3 and resistance less than or equal to 7.0μω.m, whether equipped with nipples or not. Relates to products under the EU CN (Combined Nomenclature) code EX 85451100 (TARIC code 8545110010 and 8545110015).
On February 17, 2021, the European Commission issued a notice saying that in response to an application filed on January 4, 2021 by EU Graphite Cova GmbH, Showa Denko Carbon Holding GmbH and Tokai Erft Carbon GmbH, The European Commission has launched an anti-dumping investigation into graphite electrode systems originating in China. On April 6, 2022, the European Commission formally imposed anti-dumping duties on China's graphite electrode system, with the tax rate ranging from 23.0% to 74.9%.
